About the Author:
Paul S. Auerbach, M.D., is recognized internationally as an underwater photographer, scuba diver, and physician specializing in medical emergencies, and an expert on hazardous marine animals and wilderness medicine. Dr. Auerbach's understanding of marine animals is shared regularly with underwater cinematographers, scuba divers, magazine readers, physicians, and lecture audiences. He is Editor Emeritus of the journal Wilderness and Environmental Medicine, and author of numerous articles and books, including Diving the Rainbow Reefs: Adventures of an Underwater Photographer. A graduate of Duke University and the Duke University of School of Medicine, he received his M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
